Happiness is a Happy Balance

You have a really happy feeling that creeps up on you from nowhere.  Your smile is small.  You take a deep breath.  By the time you're exhaling you realize that what you are feeling is truly happiness.  Then the very next thought is panic that is might not last.  Happiness is like riding a soap bubble floating on a gentle breeze.  Ride it too hard you'll slide into it and suffocate or worse pop it and fall.  Balance your happy wisely.  Mixed media with ripped paper, gesso, acrylic paint, india ink and colored pencils.

I know those moments. I try to over analyze them with what made me so happy so I can do it again sometime. :)) If only balance was easy.

SUCH great advice! Balance can be so hard sometimes. My problem comes from letting other people effect my happiness. Yuck. Thank you so much for sharing encouragement! PS I am your newest follower. Yay! :)

Lovely color and composition! And great message of course! We shouldn't worry too much about whether we'll lose it, but enjoy happiness when it shows up. And cultivate it wherever possible! I hope you have a warm and very super fun December. :)

Such a great way of understanding happiness and how fleeting it can be if we keep trying too hard. Your page has lots of depth and I especially like the yellow happiness as yellow is my happy colour.

What truth this depicts, I would say 'balance' is the most important thing to do in all of life- and the hardest (for me), as I am an 'all or nothing' person. sigh. Happy PPF.

“And I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.”

Love that quote by Kurt Vonnegut from A Man Without a Country. Lovely page! Here's to finding balance!
