Giraffe Crochet Toy for the Kiddo with Link to Pattern

The glue is still wet on the felt appliques but I know once I hand this toy to my 5 yr old I won't get near it again to snap a picture. I used this pattern and tried to keep it (not sure if it's a boy or girl yet till my daughter decides) cartoon like in its facial expression and posturing.

Playing with an Animal Pattern to make it into a Fantasy Creature

By switching up the colors, putting the ears above the eyes and repositioning the shell I was able to make an armadillo into a somewhat believable baby dragon for my daughter.

Childhood Memory Fraggle Rock Doozer Crochet Amigurumi

I remember seeing Doozers as a construction crew of background characters always fixing and rebuilding things destroyed by the Fraggles on Fraggle Rock. A television show about the zany antics of a bunch of Jim Henson muppets. He is made from this pattern I made mine from head through tail in continuous round rather than sewing on head and tail separate.

I used this doll pattern to create this doll for my daughter's birthday present. I attached a note card to it outlining the story of a "Worry Doll" I figured at 19 she probably has a world of worries that she needs to part ways with.

A little person is starting to come to life in my crochet sack on this blah cloudy day. The shirt has some sparkle to it and this shade of blue reminds me of jeans. I was going to wait and get colored eyes but I think the black is actually pretty cute. I'm really enjoying taking my time.

Mr Mustache Rainbow Bear Amigurumi with Link to Pattern

Starting out as a challenge to practice color changes Mr Mustache rainbow bear took on a personality all his own. Instead of going straight with his head pattern I rotated it. Acccidentally but liked the look so continued it until the body stitches which I did correctly. Skipped his muzzle.  The arms and legs were patterned as rainbows but I felt that would take away from the pretty body colors. I finished him off with a triple crochet bow tie and embroidered mustache.

Nameless Buddy Dog Based on Gromit Link to Pattern

This nameless dog buddy was created using a Gromit pattern. I changed his colors to make him look like he's wearing clothes and because there was lots of yellow here and no browns. I just loved the fingers and toes which is why I chose this project. With different colors he could be Underdog or Huckleberry Hound.

With 10" of color A yarn count down to row 14 weave in and out of the openings between each stitch and pull inward to create indent between head and body portion

Hobbes Tiger Amigurumi Calvin and Hobbes Fan Art Link to Pattern

I'm happy! I just completed my largest amigurumi to date. Hobbes stands 20" tall. I followed this pattern closely except for opting to crochet his nose and eyes because I didn't have felt. This is the version of Hobbes as a toy before he changes into Calvin's friend.  I plan on using him as a reading/sight word achievement reward for Isabelle.

Today was one of those days that a potentially short project turned into an afternoon. With intentions of doing both Peppa and George I only was able to complete her. I couldn't seem to crochet the base and legs as instructed in the pattern so I tied off and sewed them together. I still really struggle with embroidering eyes etc. I believe that it will improve as an experience through time thing. As daunting as drawing with pen with no pencil guidelines used to be, it took time but now it's like second nature.

Another quick little fellow for the treasure chest. The only adjustment I made to the pattern was instead of adding the tail after I included it as a dc pop in round 14 at the top center of the back then stitched through the center of it with the finish off thread to tuck it in.

I followed the pattern but made my stitches in the back loop and finished by pulling the yarn end through the top of her head to give her hair.

A break from Lalaloopsy is in order. Two completed! They stand 16" tall and when my girls snuggle and play with them it makes my heart swell with joy. I had to edit this pattern to work with the pink striped pajamas by skipping the skirt and alternating colors at every four rows. It looks like it worked pretty well for us.

Invader Zim Gir Amigurumi Art Studio Mascot with Link to Pattern

GIR! I do not know what it is about this character from Invader Zim but I just love him! He is a mascot for my art studio and he just happens to be in the green color that I like to sprinkle about the space for inspirational stimulation. Incy Wincy Elephant in Shades of Blue and Purple with Link to Free Pattern

A quick little elephant that I whipped up to go along with the rainbow pig. Its cute little tail and the veragated yarn gave it a really cool look. I was concerned that the ears would be tricky but they came together quick. Gotta love instant gratification. A little easy project, pattern here, is nice to break up the monotony of bigger work.
