For my virtual sketchbook this week I visited Brazil. This is the courthouse in Rio de Jeneiro. It appealed to me because of the contrast between the straight pillars and rounded domes as well as all the statues around the building. It seemed almost too ornate for something as common place as a courthouse.
While surfing around researching Brazil I got caught up with looking at images of their 2007 Cow Parade. Wikipedia describes it as, "An international public art exhibit that has been featured in major world cities. Fiberglass sculptures of cows are decorated by local artists, and distributed over the city centre, in public places such as train stations, important avenues, and parks."

Great sketch it looks like a fantatic building. In Lyon we had lions, over 40 of them dotted around town a few years ago. Then polar bears the year after ?!? I never understood why !! A xx
We have had such animal exhibitions here in the uk, though I have never managed to get to one yet. I would love to though. Fabulously detailed sketch.

Your drawing is beautiful. We have had pigs on display here and on one of our vacations we managed to find a display of wolves. Cows would be fun as well.
