Autumn Arrived in New Jersey

10-18-2012 For anyone who was following along with the random art bowl idea.  It was a smashing failure.  The bowl had three very ugly leaves in it.  While the girls were playing outside, Isabelle handed me two very pretty little leaves.  I tossed the ugly bowl ones for the chance to draw her treasures.  I've added this to my every day matters list EDM 42 - Draw something I am thankful for.

  2. I love autunm and it has been full swing here now for the past two weeks, sadly its almost all over and most leaves are down on the ground (still some brave once holding on tight)... But sure is pretty this time of the year, I like you leaf drawings and especially the one on top (I like the three tone look to it).

    Very nice!!!

Thank you for your comment and for visiting my blog : )

  18. I do love autumn leaves. Leaves were the first subject I tackled when I started painting. I could do studies of each kind of leaf and learn how watercolors move and work. Great job.
    Best,

  19. beautiful drawings, from your daughters leaves. Do you ever do the pressing of the leaves with an iron between sheets of waxed paper? it preserves them for awhile. Sorry I am late, I just posted my entry today!
